Why'd I stopped backing "Love Series REGENERATE - Visual Novel"?

Hi guys,
Some of you guys may have noticed a banner on this blog encouraging you to support AKISEKAI's new kickstarter, "Love Series REGENERATE - Visual Novel".   Contrary to that banner which I have taken down, today, I'm here to warn you that that cute, frilly visual novel that some of us may have already backed may actually be a scam!  Here's why I think this:

How I discovered the possibility of it being a scam

AKISEKAI just seems more suspicious when we see the artist's reply via twitter

So apparently AKISEKAI don't consider you a backer is you only back the $1 tier...

From my perspective, by addressing the commenter's $1 pledge and saying that he/she is not a backer because of it is quite rude considering that there 4 or 5 other backers who haven't said a word against them, but backed the $1 tier.  Does this mean their not backer's either?  Honestly, this comment just makes AKISEKAI seem money hungry.

... and apparently they believe the mountains of testimonies against them are the commenter's lies?!

Rather than say that the commenter is lying, shouldn't they address the claims and evidence?  Saying that someone is "lying" is not a valid argument, especially when there is mountain of evidence against you.

More evidence if you read all the tweets that tag their deleted twitter page

AKISEKAI'S RESPONSE
Source: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/367314396/love-series-regenerate-a-romance-visual-novel/comments
Ummmm....could you please address the mountain of evidence?

After seeing this altercation, other anecdotes, external opinions and AKISEKAI's questionable responses, I could not help but be suspicious of AKISEKAI and so I also decided to stop backing "Love Series REGENERATE - Visual Novel", I mean it's better to be safe than sorry, right?  This is my own personal decision, so please don't think that I'm trying to urge you guys to stop backing this project.  I just think that current and potential backers should know a little about this conundrum before backing this project and possibly regretting it in the future.

Please note that I have no affiliation whatsoever with the parties involved in this dilemma.  I'm also neither the commenter nor  twitterer in the images above, I'm just following this story by observing tweets and project's kickstarter page.  Therefore, any opinionated input aside from the tweets and comments above are my own

Plot: "The "Wings of Justice" was a famous elite police squad who earned  their reputation by dismantling gangs, solving unexplicable cases and investigating on some political big fishes... They were well known for making little fuss of the rules and doing everything possible for justice to be served! But, someday, they disappeared and, now, strange stories surrounds their tragic endings...
Play as the last member of the "Wings", carry on their legacy by fighting crimes and facing your own troubled past for the sake of lady Justice!"

If you guys haven't noticed yet, I'm a mystery geek and I can't resist playing mystery games, watching mystery shows or reading mystery novels, so I thought I might as well do a review for the demo of "Wings of Justice".

Pros thus far
  • Good design (i.e. the user interface was interactive and reminded me of the one from the Ace Attorney series and Detective Conan & Kindaichi Case Files: Chance Encounter of 2 Great Detectives and the characters' sprites were pretty good)
  • The English in the game was understandable
  • The background music used matches the atmosphere of the scenes they are used for
  • Pretty good background animation
  • The story is not dry and incorporates some humour
  • The mysterious introduction of "Bloodhound" AKA Paper Tych was drew my attention to the story
  • Loved the Inspector Gadget references (they reminded me of my primary school days)
Cons thus far
  • Some grammatical and spelling errors which detract from the story quality (i.e. some words were spelt in the French spelling (e.g. adress instead of address and victime instead of victim)
  • The wording of some of the sentences and phrases were a bit stiff and felt a bit odd in some instances (i.e. sometimes the words used were a bit too proper for the circumstance); needs to use more everyday language (i.e. residence/home/house instead of domicile)
  • Bugs (i.e. sometimes, when Tych is jotting down notes, the banner text appears in French text and sometimes, when I click on the text linked on the case folder the text lined to it also appears in French)
  • The plot for the demo doesn't really stand out, but maybe that's because it's just a demo
  • Inconsistency with the spelling of Charly/Charlie's name

This review is a reflection of my own personal opinions and are not endorsed by BunnyPudding & Co. in any way.  Please also note that the plot blurb and images belong to  BunnyPudding & Co.

[News] Otome Game Kickstarters (Crowdfunding)

Hey guys,
So I was surfing the net like I usually do and found some interesting otome game kickstarters that I thought I'd share with you guys.  You guys may have already heard of them, but here they are:

1.  Purrfectly Ever After

Producer: Weev (Sue Anne Chan)

Systems: Android, iDevice, Mac, Windows

Kickstarter Page:

Plot: "The heroine is a cat in a retro-futuristic world who loves good food and, with her fellow animal friends, is willing to do anything for it. Namely, stealing. She also happens to be the gang leader. Their activities disturbed the lives of people in the city to the point that the authorities decided to take action. One day, her best friend is taken hostage in hopes of luring her out. Taking the bait, she goes ahead of the pack to rescue him, meeting with a few good souls who saved her from trouble along the way. After the rescue mission, she realizes that her selfishness of stealing food has brought harm upon her friends and thus she decides to disband the group. To earn food honestly, she wishes to become a human. Her prayers were answered by an unseeming Fairy Godfather on one condition - that she would never steal again. With her immediate agreement, she is turned human. Now, as a newly-turned human, all she needs to do is find her bearings in this brave new world. And who better to help her than those who saved her earlier on?"

2.  Prank Masters

Producer: Lockvia Studios
Systems: Linux Mac, Windows
Kickstarter Page:
Plot: "Her parents are famous writers and big fans of Shakespeare. Hoping for a daughter filled with beauty and grace, they named her Juliet.  Instead, their daughter grew up to be the opposite. She's a girl who cares about doing things her own way; the prank master way.
When her parents bring her to a new town in search of inspiration for their careers, Juliet is enrolled into a new school. A few unexpected situations make her first day of school one to remember, and after having not pulled a prank in a while, she is quickly back to her old self.
Though this time it's not just going to be all about pranks. Juliet might be running into a few unexpected feelings as well..."

This listing is a reflection of my own personal opinions and are not endorsed by producers in any way.  Please also note that the plot blurbs and  videos belong to the respective producers.
